B.Tech (Hons) in Engineering – OUSL – 2023

The Faculty of Engineering Technology calls applications for the Bachelor of Technology Honours in Engineering, These programmes are conducted through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of delivery. This way of learning is different from the conventional study system. Student learning is facilitated through carefully prepared printed course material intended for self-learning. Printed course materials are supplemented with audio, visual and online learning material.

Entry Qualification

Bachelor of Technology Honours in Engineering (areas of specialization: Civil, Electrical, Electronic and Communication Computer, Mechanical, Mechatronics and Textile Technology)

Passes in the Subject Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the G.C.E (A/L) Examination in one and the same sitting

or

Obtained the Advanced Certificate in Science with courses in the disciplines of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, offered by The OUSL,

 or

Obtained a minimum of three (3) credit (C) passes for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Cambridge/Edexcel Advanced Level Examination within three years, 

or

Obtained an equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate.

Duration – 4 Years

Finance –

Tuition fees:

Level 3 and 4 – 1350/= LKR per credit
Level 5 and 6 – 2100/= LKR per credit

Application Fee:

Rs. 350/= LKR(Betech) ,        Rs.600/= LKR(BSE)

Overseas Students
Level – 3/4 : Tuition Fee : US$ 5,328*
Level – 5/6 : Tuition Fee : US$ 8,034*

 *: Besides the above fee, a refundable deposit of US$ 1000 will be charged to the foreign students before registration.
