Media Literacy and Journalism – UoV – 2023
The Harmony Centre, University of Vavuniya invites applications to select suitably qualified individuals for the Media Literacy and Journalism (ACMLJ).
- Course Duration – Six Months
- Medium – Tamil and Sinhala
- Classes – Weekends/Holidays
- Level – SLQF Level Two
- Course fee – Rs. 10,000/=
- Registration and Exam fee – Rs. 3,500/=
- Selection mode – Interview
- Closing Date for Application – 31 March 2023
Eligibility Requirements
- G.C.E (O/L) or an equivalent qualification
OR
- Completion of NVQF level 4
- Certified work experience equivalent to a minimum period of two years in a particular field may also be considered as an equivalent qualification for admission to SLQF level 2 provided that the applicant is at least 16 years of age.
- Based on students’ performance and preference, a selected number of students will follow the Advanced Certificate in Media Literacy and Journalism. The recognition or license for an eligible program or examination award certificate submitted for admission eligibility will be decided by the Management Committee of the Harmony Centre /Senate.
